YOUR LAWYER IS LIKE YOUR HIRED GUN…

BUT IT IS YOUR JOB TO PROVIDE THE BULLETS

Crucify the Bastard:

How to Come Out Ahead in Your Divorce

Jon Saltzman, a retired divorce attorney turned wedding gown store owner, has just launched his debut book, Crucify the Bastard: How to Come Out Ahead in Your Divorce. The irony of Jon's circuitous career path was not lost on The Wall Street Journal, and his success has been covered in depth by The Tampa Tribune.

For anyone who is even considering a divorce, Crucify the Bastard offers guidance from choosing an attorney to getting support, determining custody, and even beginning again after a divorce. Jon is an entertaining story-teller and offers practical suggestions and humorous war stories that familiarize and prepare the reader for the process of divorce.

In Jon's 20-year career as a divorce attorney, one of the main recurring themes that he heard from his largely female clientele was, “I want you to crucify the bastard!” After working with Jon, they often found that divorce didn’t have to be ugly in order for them to come out ahead. Crucify the Bastard provides an entertaining and practical roadmap for coming out ahead in divorce.

THE REALITY OF DIVORCE DURING TODAY'S PANDEMIC

By Jon Saltzman
October 20, 2020

All marriages are tested during stressful times. Some stressors are significant enough that they can threaten even the best of relationships. As both a former owner of a large bridal store AND a retired divorce attorney, I’ve seen both sides of relationships: those individuals who fully expect to live “happily ever after” and those who believe their marriages are irreconcilable. I’ve seen even the healthiest of marriages struggle, and it’s no wonder that during the current pandemic with all of its financial, childrearing, and health-related stressors, so many marriages have been taxed beyond their limits. In my new book, Crucify the Bastard: How to Come Out Ahead in Your Divorce,  I will help you prepare for your divorce by offering practical suggestions while sharing an inside view of the divorce process. As an attorney, I was often told by my new clients that they wanted me to “crucify the bastard!” Coming out ahead in divorce has less to do with crucifying your ex and more to do with arming your lawyer with the right information so that you become a strong attorney-client team.
